In the ever-evolving world of gaming, Xbox continues to make waves with its latest innovation. Following the launch of the Starfield-themed Xbox controller in June, the gaming giant is now hinting at a new addition to its wireless controller lineup, codenamed “Jemez”.
The year 2023 has been a busy one for Xbox, with nearly a new controller release every month. From the Stellar Shift in February to the limited edition Starfield in June, Xbox has kept gamers on their toes. And now, exclusive information suggests that another controller is about to join the ranks.
The Jemez, officially named the Stormcloud Vapor, is the latest in Xbox’s wireless controller series. Like other products from Xbox and most manufacturers, the controller was given a codename during its development phase. The official name and release date have now been confirmed, with the Stormcloud Vapor set to hit the market soon.
The pricing for the new controller has also been revealed. In France and other countries using the Euro as their primary currency, the Stormcloud Vapor will retail for 69.99 euros. In the United States, the price will be $69.99.
The theme of the controller remains a mystery, but several clues suggest it could be a limited edition Forza Motorsport controller. The Forza Motorsport game is set to release on October 10, 2023, and it’s possible that the controller will be launched around the same time. However, this is purely speculation at this point, as the price point differs from the Forza Horizon 5 controller released in November 2021, which was priced at $74.99.
The release date for the Stormcloud Vapor is another piece of the puzzle. The controller is expected to launch on August 8, 2023, but this is subject to change as Xbox has been known to adjust release dates.
One question on many gamers’ minds is whether the new controller will feature haptic feedback, similar to the DualSense controller from PlayStation. This feature enhances the gaming experience by providing more immersive vibrations. However, there is currently no confirmation that the Jemez will include this feature.
As always, we’ll keep you updated with any new developments regarding the Xbox Stormcloud Vapor controller. Stay tuned for more exciting news from the world of Xbox.
