Classes in Outriders are basically the playstyle and combat style a player would prefer to play. There are four classes in Outriders; Technomancer, Pyromancer, Trickster, Devastator. These classes are based on play ranges and consist of different abilities.
- Technomancer is a class, in which player plays on Long range. It is a support class.
- Pyromancer is a medium range class in which player plays on medium range and is a partially aggressive and partially passive class.
- Trickster is a close-range class, which allows players to play aggressively and close range, with hit & Run ability.
- Devastator is a close-range class and is the one in which players’ character is a kind of tank who absorbs as much damage as possible for its team to push in.
Changing Classes in Outriders
There is no direct way to change a character’s class in Outriders, but you can create a new character of another class. In Outriders, you can skip all the cinematics and prologue after you have completed it once, which means you don’t need to watch the pre-story cinematic every time you create a new character and start the game.
You can skip right to the class picking screen and hop into the game with your friends as quickly as it gets available. Outriders do not have a skill-based matchmaking system to play in co-op, which means you can play with your friends after creating a new class, who are high level than you.
Creating a New Character
To create a new character in Outriders. You need to be in the main lobby menu and when you see your character, you need to back out to another menu, where you can see all the available characters, from there you can create new characters and play as them through the storyline or co-op with friends.
In my characters section click on which character you want to choose and then proceed to lobby. You can in this menu see all the available characters that you have created and choose anyone to proceed to the gameplay. You can create a maximum of six characters as of right now in the demo. After creating a new character, you can customize your character and pick a name, and get done with creating it.
