Cyberpunk 2077 PC players are facing a lot of errors and issues and not being able to save the game is one of them. Here is how to fix Cyberpunk 2077 Not Saving issue on PC.
Cyberpunk 2077 Not Saving Fix
There are multiple reasons why players are unable to save their progress in Cyberpunk 2077. Before we start with the fixes, first try giving Cyberpunk 2077 admin rights. Go to the game’s install folder. For Steam, right-click the game > Properties > Local Files tab > click Browse Local Files.
Right-click REDprelauncher > properties > Compatibility tab > check “run this program as administrator” and hit apply. This should allow the game to save. If this doesn’t resolve the saving issue for the game then try the following fixes.
One reason for Cyberpunk 2077 to not save progress on PC could be that you might have enabled OneDrive backup for the Documents. Disable the OneDrive backup and the Save Game error will be fixed.
If the above fixes didn’t work for you then Controlled Folder Access might be blocking Cyberpunkl 2077 from saving. Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Manage ransomware protection. Players can either disable controlled folder access or allow Cyberpunk 2077 through it.
If you don’t want to disable Controlled Folder Access, then click the Allow an app through Controlled folder access > click “Add an allowed app” > Browse all apps. Now browse to the Cyberpunk’s install folder and allow REDprelauncher through it. Launch the game and you’ll be able to save your game in Cyberpunk.
For Windows 7, navigate to Dashboard > Protection tab > Click on Application Access under the Safe Files applet > Flag the checkmark for Cyberpunk 2077.
